On a day America sets aside to honor the memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., post office workers, and other employees enjoy a day off during the month after the chaos and overtime of Christmas and before tax time begins in earnest.
During the traditionally ‘blah’ month of January when the holidays are over, when Valentine’s Day is weeks away and the weather is uniformly lousy in a variety of ways throughout the country ranging from blizzards to the north to mudslides in the west and monsoons in the south, a day noting the birth and life’s work of King is a welcome break.
School kids enjoy the day off in some states and one teenager from Georgia, C.J. Pearson, has drawn enormous online support after making the claim that King would be “proud” of President Donald Trump.
Even as the president faces an onslaught of attacks from Democrats, the media and the entertainment industry calling him a “racist,” the 15-year-old has fearlessly come forward in Trump’s defense.
Pearson, who comes from a Democrat family, is an independent-minded teenager who isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

“I would argue that President Trump has lead a presidency that Martin Luther King would be proud of — and it’s kind of funny to say because everyone in the media and everyone on the left is hell-bent on accusing this president of being a racist, a bigot and all these other baseless accusations that have no merit at all,” Pearson asserts.
Pearson is passionate about the costs suffered by the black population during the Obama administration.
“I, as a black teenager, I saw the devastation that liberal policies have had within the black community, I have seen the hurt that they have caused. I have seen the pain that President Obama’s inaction has caused in places like Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta and so forth and so on.”
“President Trump has sought to heal those wounds.”
The politically astute Pearson has come to the conclusion that King, who was assassinated on April 4, 1968, and Trump, who won the presidency more than half a century later on a campaign platform of making America great again, share a common goal.
Pearson feels they both believed every person, regardless of color, deserves an opportunity to thrive in America.
Writing of Obama’s damage to the country, Pearson says Trump, “… has done a darn good job. Perhaps, the Left should take notes.”
Instead, it’s probably only a matter of days before the Left takes aim at an idealistic teenager who is unafraid to speak the truth as he sees it.
Do you agree with 15-year-old Georgia teenager, C.J. Pearson, who thinks Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of President Donald Trump and his work to heal the wounds to the black community inflicted by Barack Obama?
